Great in and out fast food. Vegetables are fresh and prepared when ordered with your meal. They do not offer any type of delivery though which is a bummer when you are in couch surfing mode. The general tso's can be hit or miss but the burban chicken is always spot on. Makes for a great cheat meal!

I like to get lunch from here, they are really fast and the food is good. What more can ya ask for? :)

I decided to give them their annual chance (4th). What a ***waste of money***. spring roll, "krab" rangoon, and a PINT of sweet & sour chicken with a tip was $15 and every bit of it was thrown away. Uninspired is polite; absolutely without flavor is accurate. I won't be back, there's an option not too far that actually does Chinese right.

Superb chinese ! Ordered chicken lo mien, general Tso's chicken and crab Rangoon. Everything tasted above average. Ordered and within ten minutes food was ready. Lady at the counter was very polite. The CR filling was really creamy, the best I've had. The next time my bf and I want Chinese we will deff be coming back here.

Good food! Nice atmosphere, nothing exciting or fancy, but the food is good. What else to say? ;)

Remember when your momma told you not to judge a book but it's cover? This place is the motivation behind that life lesson! China Fun is very unassuming, but delivers magically with food quality, portion and price. We walk across the street to this haven weekly and are always greeted with a sincere smile, and cuisine piping hot from some monster size Wok's! The price-point is extremely reasonable and quality of their chinese food is terrific with an emphasis on fresh and flavorful without over-salting (or MSG for that matter). I'm a huge fan of their mongolian beef and I'm told their crab rangoon wontons are terrific. Walk in hungry and walk out happy!

Small staff, but so nice! I love coming in for their dumplings when I'm just looking for a quick bite. They also have great lo mein, beef & broccoli, wonton soup, and ooh the orange chicken!

This restaurant completely messed up the order gave them. They had absolutely no interest in replacing the food I ordered, even though it was inedible. Not only was the order completely incorrect, they put the sauce that is supposed to be on the shrimp INS container that it was too hot for and it went right through the container and all over the car. After cleaning up my car and then realizing they didn't even give me what I ordered. I nicely called and wanted the ruined food replaced. The extremely rude owner refused to do anything for me. He had no problem taking my money. Very bad service!! Bad business!

Very decent Chinese food. I've only been here a few times and just stopped in recently a couple of days ago. I ordered some steamed dumplings, egg drop soup, and some crab rangoons (just needed some appetizers for dinner at home). The steamed dumplings were big. And tasty! I should have gotten two orders. The meat was not bland and had good flavors. The egg drop soup was nice and eggy. It wasn't a neon yellow color either and actually tasted pretty good. The wonton strips they gave us with the soup were nice and crunchy. A bit thicker than we normally get at other places and not stale! I did not eat the crab rangoons since I'm not a fan of cream cheese, but my son and husband both said that they were better than some other Chinese takeouts we've been to. Overall, a good experience! And the prices were about the same as anywhere else. The lady at the counter was very nice and the wait for my food did not take that long. About 10 minutes or so. Will be back to try some other things on the menu.

Pretty good taste, but a lot if rice and vegetables and just a little bit of meat. Do not recommend.

The food is certainly flavorful but I might try something different next time. The chicken they use for the orange chicken and general tso's chicken is heavily breaded, a little too much breading for my liking. The krab rangoons are very good, as Jason mentioned. Ordering over the phone was fast and the food was ready within 10-15 minutes as promised. There are only a few tables inside so don't plan on lingering too long. Definitely good for picking up.

Great fast take out - we've ordered a few times, order is correct every time and ready when we get there. General tsaos is perfect to me, not too spicy.

This place has became my usual for Chinese takeout. They have good fried rice (the most important). Everything is good quality without MSG. They don't skimp on meat. Fast and nice service. Lunch menu is 11am-3pm everyday for $4.99 with fried rice and a can of soda!

Huana Chicken was delicious. Very fresh. The side of rancid pork fried rice was not.

VERY GOOD CHINESE FOOD! We just moved into this area and loved this place versus other Chinese places in the area. Krab rangoon, wonton soup & sweet and sour chicken are amazinggg!

Tried this place on a whim based on the other Yelp! reviews, and we were not disappointed! Very tasty and the portion sizes are HUGE! We will definitely be back!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I just tried to order takeout and the woman who took my order was extremely rude and was "too busy to repeat my order." I will NEVER order from here again and I will tell everyone I know about the poor service.

I went here entirely on the review of Michael C. and I can confirm everything that he said. This is amazing Chinese. The Lady behind the counter is super sweet and even gave use free homemade sweet tea to take with us. The tea and food was fantastic. The honey chicken is probably the best that I have ever had. The Singapore noodles were fantastic. The shrimp fried rice was great. General Tso's was wonderful though I will stop short of saying the best I have ever had because a Hunan Chinese place in Blacksburg, Va. gets that distinction. But its the best I have had in Florida for sure. You have to try it. For me this place is in a battle with China Wok for best Chinese in St. Pete and may have the edge over China Wok. Lets support this place because it is wonderful.

I just got an order of chicken fried rice and it was the most disgusting very dry barely any chicken raw onions I've ever had in my life. And I wouldn't even give it a one star I get it - 1 star

Very good Chinese. Always tastes fresh and crispy. The woman who works the counter is very nice too. I just wish they delivered. They are my favorite local Chinese restaurant.

China Fun was surprisingly delicious. Very affordable and the food was prepared fresh and quick. We had the crab Rangoon as an appetizer (not the best I've had, but still tasty), wonton soup (very good), sweet and sour chicken (delicious), combination lo mein (great flavor and full of meat and shrimp), and they also made sesame shrimp on request even though it wasn't on the menu. All of this served with fried rice was a ton of food for everyone plus leftovers. Overall great food.

Let's be honest - there are a lot of New York-Style Chinese Restaurants in St. Pete. Heck, there's China Crossing right down the road, and China 1 down the road from that. But honestly China Fun is the best New York-Style in St. Pete (with Kwan Ming closed down and moved to Wesley Chapel, this might be the best in the bay area). My girlfriend lives across the street from the shopping center, so I was curious to order from there when I was hanging out one Saturday afternoon. I think we both went for the General Tso's lunch special and were both incredibly happy with the results. Its some of the best General Tso's I've had - the sauce is sweet with just the right hint of spicy, and the chicken tender. Our second go through really proved how I'm probably going to start going here for lunch too. I had been ponderously going over the menu since the firs time we went and saw some pleasant surprises I usually only get in sit down restaurants like Young Chow Fried Rice. My girlfriend once again got her staple General Tso's, but I decided to get a non-combination favorite - Singapore Chow Mei Fun. I was impressed as the noodles were full of curry flavor and a level of spice that compliments the overall flavor. Noodles soft, and full of chicken, sliced roast pork, sliced beef and a lot more shrimp than I expected. Now the lunch portions are a bit better than China Crossing, but the Dinner portions are ridiculous. After gorging on her dinner, I look at my girlfriend's container and it was a full sized portion. My Singapore noodles were also hard to put a dent into. Both meals turned into 3 whole meals (late lunch, dinner, and a follow up dinner). I'm going to start dragging my co-workers here during the week and expand upon my selections, but for a quick lunch or dinner, you can't beat China Fun. Lastly the lady at the counter is super nice and helpful.

Pretty darn good stuff here. I've had better, but this sure beats Panda Express! Medium-size shop in a strip mall. Serves up HUGE portions. No way could either of us eat our lunches. Tasty too! I had the General Tso's Chicken and my sister the Beef with Broccoli. We both really enjoyed everything. I'd come again if it wasn't 2500 miles away from home! Worst Chinese food ever. Boneless spareribs, microwaved. Moreover, every piece, no joke every piece had 30/70 meat to fat content. Gave it 2 stars, hell I saw them make the rice fresh.

Just ordered a late night snack to go right before they closed and asked for general tso"s chicken with light on the sauce. It was drenched in sauce and didn't taste fresh. Wasn't impressed with the meal.

We went here for a quick grab and go dinner after boating all day. We ordered the hunan chicken and the bourbon chicken combos as well as an order of krab rangoon and hot & sour soup. Spent $20, not bad for the amount of food. It was ready in about 15 minutes. It was your typical Chinese take out, nothing spectacular, but I wasn't disappointed either. We'll probably go here again if we're in the mood for a quick take home chinese dinner!

Great price!5 dollars lunch special with a can of soda,I usually call in advance and pick up on my way to school. The lady is nice, she remembers me after the first time I went there. I never need to wait, just pick up and leave. It tastes pretty good, though my fav Chinese restaurant is still yummy house but this one is close to me and convenient. I will continue to go and tell my friends to go as well.

When I called in an order tonight the man taking our order was very rude, when my husband went to pick up our order the man at the restaurant was very rude. We ordered seasem chicken, fried rice, egg drop soup, and egg rolls. The chicken was ok, rice dry, soup had no flavor but the egg rolls were pretty good. I do not recommend this place!

Hands down best Chinese food I have had in Pinellas County. We ordered take out, since they do not deliver, and it was ready in about 20 minutes. The restaurant is very clean. You order at the counter and there are some tables and seats if you want to eat in. We got the Chicken Lo Mein, Chicken and Broccoli, Shrimp in Black Bean Sauce, Chicken Lo Mein, Roast Pork Fried Rice, and Won Ton Soup. Everything was delicious. The Chicken Lo Mein was my favorite dish and it was as if the taste of the dish was infused in the noodles. I normally like Lo Mein, but I loved this dish. I will order it every time I go. There was a good ratio of chicken and broccoli in the Chicken and Broccoli. The shrimp was very plump and tasty. Honestly, I was extremely happy with everything we got. My fiance and I agree that this is our new go to spot for Chinese. Even though we usually only like places that deliver, we are willing to drive here to eat this food. That should tell you how good this place is.

Delicious and classic Chinese food. Very large menu, even though I'm a fan of the classic sweet and sour chicken-which is delicious. Fantastic lunch special every day, that I will happily take advantage of since it is right around the corner! Very fast service and great food.

Generally speaking, I don't like ordering Americanized Chinese food. It's just not my thing as an Asian but my friend ordered from here while I visited and was sweet enough to order something extra for me so he got me dumplings. I'm particular with grind up meat from these little known restaurants because you never know what's in there or if they put a lot of other "stuff" to fill it up. Surprisingly, the dumplings were really good! It had good flavor and each of them were huge! I can't comment on any entree from China Fun as I didn't have any but my friend is a resident nearby and swears by the chicken and broccoli so I guess it's not that bad either.

Why 4 stars? Because this was not your typical Chinese joint. --- --- --- I wasn't creative with my order, and just went with an ole' reliable -beef & shrimp lo mein. I should have gotten something a bit more exotic, but I just couldn't decide quickly enough. That being said, this did not taste like every other beef lo mein I've had in my life. It was a little something extra. I am not hanging out in the northern-most point of eastern Pinellas county often, but now I know where to go when I am.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
